The Pacific Association of Supreme Audit Institutions (PASAI) and the Solomon Islands Office of the Auditor-General (SIOAG) will co-host workshops for Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Public Expenditure Committee (PEC), government entities and stakeholders at the National Parliament of Solomon Islands from 11th – 14th September 2017.
The Pacific Association of Supreme Audit Institutions (PASAI) was in the Solomon Islands last week delivering a communications workshop for the Solomon Islands Office of the Auditor-General (SIOAG). The aim of the workshop was to assist the Office of the Auditor-General to develop a SAI Communications Strategy to effectively communicate with its stakeholders. The workshop also trained auditors on how to write clear, concise and simple audit reports that would enable audit findings to be communicated more effectively to Parliament, the Public Accounts Committee, audit entities, the media and the general public.
The Ministry of Provincial Government and Institutional Strengthening with technical support from the Provincial Governance Strengthening Programme (PGSP) have completed a week-long intensive training on International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS Cash Basis) for the provincial officers of Western Province, Officers of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, Officers of the Office of the Auditor General and the Ministry of Provincial Government and Institutional Strengthening.
